what do you get when a dozen or so interior designers come together in a room to assess a new line of carpet? lots of talk about nap, weave, color and pattern– some of it quite spirited. our principal verda alexander (pointing) flew to atlanta, georgia last week to take part in shaw inc’s annual “sneak preview.” each year shaw gathers top designers from all over the country to get their input on a new collection before it goes public. shaw credits the preview with helping them take “best of neocon” awards for the past few years.
verda’s west coast perspective– combined with insights from our lively client list– added a forward-looking element that we hope will be interesting (and useful) to shaw. certainly verda found it interesting to observe the process of carpet being born.
