a few notes to bring this scene into the 21st century:
1. move gramps from head to middle of table. lateral heirarchies place senior management in the trenches with everyone else.
2. replace curtains with cool window treatments. maximize natural light.
3. floral wallpaper has to go. we see an umber finish here with maybe a little neon “eat” sign.
4. install bike racks on back wall for family and friends who traveled over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house on their cannondale flash 29er mountain bikes.
5. lose the tablecloth. replace antique table and chairs with herman miller task seating and easy-to-clean inscape benching system.
6. lose the turkey. substitute deli board artisan meat sandwiches, kosher pickles and mexican coke.
… and then have a very happy thanksgiving!
